About

I started my consulting firm in 1992 after a career as a subcontractor. My goal was to help contractors and owners avoid costly claims and litigation by educating them on the benefits of proper, timely documentation of issues.

I have worked with satisfied clients and their attorneys throughout the US and Canada, helping resolve disputes on numerous projects through settlement conferences, mediation, arbitration and litigation. The main emphasis of my work is on documenting issues to avoid claims, collect for legitimate extras, or seek compensation for damages when a negotiated solution is not achieved.

My clients have incorporated my educational seminars to improve the quality of their management team. I have presented a variety of seminars on topics like:

    • reducing risk in construction
    • documenting issues in accordance with the contract
    • getting paid for extra work
    • effective daily reports, issue tracking
    • proper procedures for managing work to avoid losses

I hope you will invite me to work with your construction team to share my insights and help you improve the management of critical issues on projects because, as I have learned…

“what is common sense is not common practice!”
